Intervention-less Technology: Upper & Lower Completion
Upper Completion: ILCV The Intervention-less Completion Valve (ILCV) The ILCV is a highly engineered, multi-cycle valve that utilizes a hydraulic piston mandrel and an indexing mechanism to open and close the annulus to the tubing multiple times. This operation is performed without wireline or coiled tubing intervention, drastically reducing rig time and operational risk. https://alrozanamedia.fra1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/completionmaster/ILCV.pdf
ILCV Key Functions: Autofill: Ensures safe and efficient running of the completion string. Kill Fluid Circulation: Allows necessary fluid circulation if required during the running process. Pressure Testing: Enables pressure testing of the tubing at various intervals. Well Suspension: Acts as a secure, downhole barrier for temporary well suspension. Qualification: API 19AC & 11D1 Grade V3 & V0 Certified.
The Intervention-less Selective Injection Valve (ILSIV)
The Interventionless Selective Injection Valve (ILSIV) is a pressure-cycle actuated downhole valve developed by Completion Master to enable selective, segment-by-segment injection without the need for coiled tubing, wireline, or hydraulic control lines. The ILSIV is specifically designed for extended reach and high-friction wells, where conventional coiled tubing operations are unable to reach total depth (TD). The valve operates through tubing pressure communication from surface, allowing accurate placement of stimulation fluids, acids, and chemicals into targeted reservoir segments while maintaining a fully intervention-less completion philosophy. The ILSIV is developed in line with Completion Master intervention-less completion philosophy, focusing on mechanical simplicity, operational reliability, and reservoir control in complex well architectures.
THE ILSIV SOLUTION
The ILSIV provides a simple, robust, and intervention-less solution for selective injection operations. By utilizing pressure-cycle communication from surface, the system enables accurate and repeatable injection into isolated reservoir segments without relying on conventional intervention methods.
COMPLETION CHALLENGES
Coiled tubing unable to reach TD in extended reach wells due to friction losses
High operational cost and risk associated with intervention-based injection
Limited control over selective injection placement
Increased non-productive time (NPT) during stimulation operations
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The ILSIV operates autonomously using controlled pressure cycles applied from surface:
Tubing pressure is applied to actuate the valve
The valve shifts to the selected injection position
Injection is performed into the isolated reservoir segment
Pressure is bled off to reset or index the valve
Subsequent pressure cycles enable injection into the next segment
This pressure-based communication allows reliable selective injection without mechanical intervention.
KEY FEATURES
True Intervention-Less Operation: Eliminates the requirement for coiled tubing or wireline operations.
Pressure-Cycle Actuated Control: Surface-applied pressure cycles provide simple and reliable downhole communication.
Selective Segment-by-Segment Injection: Ensures only one reservoir segment is injected at a time.
Designed for Extended Reach Wells: Ideal for wells with long horizontals and high friction losses.
Robust Mechanical Design: Engineered for repeated pressure cycling and long-term downhole exposure.
Seamless Integration with ILCV Completions: Compatible with liner-based open-hole completion architectures.
APPLICATIONS
Matrix acid stimulation
Chemical injection (scale, corrosion, paraffin, solvent treatments)
Selective stimulation in extended reach wells
Intervention-less reservoir treatment campaigns
VALUES PROPOSITION
Eliminates CT Reach Limitations: Enables selective injection in wells where CT cannot reach TD.
Reduced Operational Complexity and Cost: Minimizes logistics, equipment, and personnel requirements.
Improved Treatment Effectiveness: Ensures fluids are injected into the intended reservoir interval.
Reduced HSE Exposure: Intervention-less operations lower personnel exposure and operational risk.
Enhanced Well Lifecycle Management: Supports multiple selective injection campaigns over the life of the well.

The Intervention-less Cement Through Valve
Overview
The ILCTV (Intervention-less Cement Through Valve) is a hydraulically operated, multi-cycle valve designed for mono-bore completion strings. It enables cement-through operations while allowing controlled reverse circulation of excess cement from the annulus and residual cement from the tubing — all without slickline, dropped balls, or milling.
The Challenge
Conventional cement-through systems rely on dropped balls and post-cement milling. These tools are often not qualified as pressure barriers, creating potential leak paths, increasing operational time, and adding cost and risk.
The ILCTV Solution
ILCTV operates through controlled hydraulic pressure cycles, eliminating dropped balls and intervention. The valve automatically enables cement placement, reverse circulation, and final barrier isolation in a single, intervention-less system.
Key Benefits
Eliminates slickline, dropped balls, and milling
Enables clean reverse circulation of excess cement
Reduces operational time and cost
Provides a qualified metal-to-metal pressure barrier
Fully non-elastomeric design for maximum integrity
Applications
Automated cement-through operations
Reverse circulation of excess annular cement
Removal of residual cement from tubing
Multiple casing pressure tests while running
Completion packer setting without intervention
